Two terms that come up throughout this site, and what they mean here.
Restore test
A restore test is the practice of restoring a backup into a separate, isolated environment and checking the result against what was captured, rather than trusting that the backup job reported success.
ReadRecovery point
A recovery point is a single, self-consistent copy of a system taken at one moment, holding everything needed to bring that system back.
